Re: Messages to Portsmouth Football Club and their fans

My thoughts are not about pompey's popeye or the fratton Park fraternity. My thoughts are with the next game... If we can keep Clive mendonca quiet we're laughing... Good luck lads... We owe them one. πŸ€žπŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€

1973 season by any chance? The fa Cup and charity shield... Not sure mind.
Good call but the purists might say that one marks the end of one season and the other kicks off the next.
Good thinking though, it had my brain going into overtime.

Re: Ozturk Wins His Red Card Appeal

I thought it was a red card. Obviously I'm wrong. Very surprised it was rescinded saying that.

Re: Sunderland v Portsmouth Play Offs First Leg

Is this always a deciding factor? The referee in this case thought so but then again the referee's rule book is as thick as war and peace. I never thought it was a red card incident from when I saw it on the day. Just because an opposing player falls over its not automatically a foul or penalty etc...

Re: Sunderland v Portsmouth Play Offs First Leg

And "if" it was at the other end.... Would you say it was then maybe.... Can't fault the ref, it was a reckless challenge, forced into maybe but reckless none the less... I'll be amazed if its overturned... I am not a betting man but if there is an appeal in, the lad will win this one. If the panel...

Nah, 50/50 ball and he won the ball, no contact with opposing player. Their player should have took a yellow card.
Look at it again... Ozturk goes to ground... Does the Portsmouth player.. πŸ€”

Re: Sunderland v Portsmouth Play Offs First Leg

I can't see a red card in all that. There was no intent and both players went for the ball. And "if" it was at the other end.... Would you say it was then maybe.... Can't fault the ref, it was a reckless challenge, forced into maybe but reckless none the less... I'll be amazed if its overturned...

Re: Sunderland v Portsmouth Play Offs First Leg

It was a red card for me.. Nothing on the ball imo. The only doubt would be weather or not the angle the Portsmouth player would of been in would of been too much to create an opportunity to score, plus the keeper was losing ball down. I wouldn't of appealed as he was on a yellow anyway an in terms ...

Re: Worst season in our proud history

If we get promoted I would say it's on par with the last time we went down in the third division. But there are other seasons which could be classed as worse like when we got 15 points or was it 19 in the Premier League I can't remember. Mind you, the Fleetwood result has got to go down as the wors...
