Ellis Short Has A Buyer For The Club

Sunderland AFC will have new owners soon after Ellis Short has found a buyer for the club.
Short says that he has been looking to sell the club to people who have the experience, finance and plans to take Sunderland AFC where it deserves to be.
So, subject to EFL approval, we will have new owners in due course.
The new owners will be headed by Stewart Donald, chairman of Eastleigh FC

He also says that he has paid off all the clubs debts since years before he owned the club.
In addition, short claims to have rejected higher bids from some with little experience in order to get the best people for the job.
If true, then he hasn't sold the club to make money.

Short continues by saying that he will be a Sunderland supporter for the rest of his life and hopes to come back and watch the team get back to the top again.

Neither Short nor Donald will be making any more statements until the EFL have given approval.

Well, I know we are all sick of the situation and Short will be the first to blame himself, but I still think he had Sunderland at heart.
Remember the FTM badge he would wear
Good luck to Ellis Short and I hope when he pays us a visit he gets a good reception.
Come on, even he knows the club was too big, even for him and he would admit this.
God loves a trier.

I might have the day off today!

He came, he went, maybe he should have brought more money men in and invested more.

Can't believe what I'm reading here.....the Yankee w%&*+£&... Run us into the ground with his inept mismanagement and less nous that a scarecrow... Totally ruined this club through greed... He's wrote off the debts as he's already had it 10 fold through TV money, concerts, shirt sponsorship in ground sponsors... The list goes on....He shouldn't be allowed near a 5 a side court nevermind a professional football club... A modern day dick Turpin.

I'd like to see the accounts to see if Short has made a profit or loss in his time here. In the absence of those its down to pure speculation. If anyone can supply the facts and figure, please do so.

Lets hope the new owners can get some stability back to the club, we are rudderless at the moment.

If the new owners really do want success, Sunderland can give it to them.
