This strategy is the way I see things happening certainly for the next 5 year and probably longer....some of you may remember the disasterous period of the De fanti era (short as it were it was long enough) for those who don't he was a football agent that in all of shorts wisdom thought the was the man to lead the club forward without any previous experience and basically let him loose with nearly £50milliln quid.... Gulp. The udinese model was to be implemented whereas players would be brought in on the cheap, progress and be sold on... Of course this successful model for udinese failed miserably for us. Without going into too much detail it enviabley didn't work with players being brought in that were poor at best... Roberge, diakati among others who were deeply out of their depth... The start of the fall some might say... I say nailed on fact. With a hair do like some 70's porn star De fanti was soon shipped out and the udinese model had died... At birth may I add. De fanti is now back being an agent, his one attempt at being a director of football failing miserably and we are now paying for one big mistake, one of many but in my opinion the catalyst and again one of many reasons why Ellis short should be aloud no where near a football club again. Now, back to the top of the story.... I believe (God knows I hope I'm wrong) that this model will raise its ugly head again... Please Stuart, look to our youth, don't bring players in on daft wages and expect success via selling on proceeds.....
IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Udinese model
I remember seeing something like this before about the udinese model. I should think the supporters would latch on to this pretty quickly and have a say. Obviously, our first step is to get out of the cesspit where we are going first. But come the Championship, should further investment not be made in a constructive way, I doubt whether the new owner will survive.
We will only know what plans the new owners have when we see them roll out. Should the udinese model come back, the new owners will not last long, they will have one chance to show promise in my opinion.

What was that you said again?
