Sunderland v Portsmouth - Checkatrade Trophy Final

This is our SAFC Forum of course. You may chat about Sunderland AFC here together with any other footballing matters. Obviously, the Black Cats are the main focus. However, this is basically our football lounge.

Cattermole missed the penalty so he is going to feel this.
Someone had to miss and it was Catts. This game was lost when Grigg was subbed. That decision was made by Jack Ross. He is defensive minded and still learning the trade. Nothing to do with Catts.

Let's hope they can pick themselves up now for the final push of the season.
If we play this lot again at Wembley in the play-offs then maybe we can have the last laugh.
They keep the Mickey Mouse cup and we take promotion - I would have that any day.
Hopefully we can avoid the play-offs.

Biggest gate in Europe this week.
Not quite as Barcelona got 92,000 but still this was second and to think it was for a tin pot cup!

Its a tin pot cup now
At the end of the day we enjoyed a cup run and that's what matters.
We will win at Wembley again soon.

I think we were all full of expectation so the defeat hurt more.
