Ross speaks on transfers again.

This is the SAFC Forum. You may chat about Sunderland AFC here together with any other footballing matters. Obviously, the Black Cats are the main focus. However, this is basically our football lounge.

Ross speaks on transfers again.

Post by Zook » 19 Jul 2019, 09:00

Not looking like anyone else incoming.

Jack ross:-

“I spoke couple of weeks ago about it being a case of one out, one in, and that’s really where we are.

“I don’t think we are too top heavy squad-wise and I wouldn’t want it to get too fat.

“We are not in a position where we can go and spend money on big transfer fees.

“There has to be a realisation that that’s where we are at and we have to build something and make the best of what we have got.

“When Donald Love left last week, that meant we were able to bring in Jordan Willis and that’s going to continue to be how we work it certainly for the foreseeable future, unless I am told any different.”

They just need a little confidence and the goals will go in.

How long do they want though. They had all season.

And what about their service, did they get that last season, not really.

I suspect he was lucky. In the right place at the right time. I bet he isn't that lucky any more. Not knocking the lad but maybe we got the best of him and he now goes into obscurity.

OK you do get swings and roundabouts in football.
Maja was banging half chances in.
Wyke and Grigg had many good chances and open goals but still missed.
I am confident that we will replace at least one up front come the start of the season.

Am being honest here - sell Grigg at a loss and play one of our youngens.
