Tony Coton "transfer speed dating"
Tony Coton "transfer speed dating"
If there is no money for incoming transfers why would we send Tony Coton (head of transfers) to London to meet other representatives of worldwide clubs to discuss players... We are either 1. Trying to offload players or 2. Bluffing regarding not having a pot to piss in. Canny waste of resorses if you ask me... Wonder how much that cost...anyway, here's what I found.
Sunderland chief scout Tony Coton was in London on Tuesday attending a big meeting of football club representatives, in an event described as like 'speed dating for transfers'.
The event, hosted at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge, saw club representatives from across the world spend 15 minutes each talking one-to-one with one-another, making connections and discussing potential transfer deals that could be done between the parties.

Aye, loans is it.
SUNDERLAND are exploring the loan market in a bid to strengthen numbers to boost Jack Ross’ attempts to deliver promotion back to the Championship.
The Black Cats boss, whose side are in the Algarve where they play Beleneneses on Saturday night, have made three signings for the first team squad so far and wants more.
At the start of the summer there was an admission from above that Sunderland were looking to add “seven or eight” new faces before the start of the campaign.
And with two weeks remaining until the season opener with Oxford United at the Stadium of Light, Ross knows that time is running out to get more players in before the big kick-off.

That just about sums up my thread on loanees then.
Something that I can't get my head around. I'd prefer us to be in a position to loan them out but I will get over it I suppose

This is weird really because where's all the homework behind the players and other stuff involved or is all that long gone and they are just like cattle at the market.
