All time favorite player you have seen for Sunderland.
All time favorite player you have seen for Sunderland.
There could be many many players to choose from. True, in my lifetime we haven't had any true greats in my opinion but here's away. After thinking long and hard about this and the likes of Kevin Philips, Niall quinn, Paul Bracewell I have to say the one player with true class who is the only player who could find God with a pass is stefan schwartz, what an absolute cracking player and a pleasure to watch. Who's yours?

My favourites, not necessarily the all time best.
Bobby Kerr.
Later on, possibly Marco Gabbiadinni.

..... and Sunderland, the underdogs, are in the lead!

Philips, Quinn, Summerbee and Johnston took some beating, lethal in fact. On an individual level - that's a hard question. It's a shame about one of our players who went bad because I would have picked him so maybe I should stay safe and say Super Kevin Philips.

I'd go for this.
He was like a steam train once he got hold of the ball.

I will go for a Sunderland goalkeeper on this one.
You know who it is and he is famous for that double save at Wembley in 1973.
For those who don't know just click below.
Jimmy Montgomery - of course!

I was thinking too hard but I think I will go for Monty as well. The reason is because of the double save that ensured the cup was ours and the fact that he is Sunderland through and through. The man is a legend.

Undoubtedly.
This is Monty's second save.
Here is the double save again.
You could never get sick of seeing this, the greatest ever double save.
What a reaction save that second one is.

He was quite a dribbler in his time.
SKP for me though.
