Have they scrapped this season?

This is the SAFC Forum. You may chat about Sunderland AFC here together with any other footballing matters. Obviously, the Black Cats are the main focus. However, this is basically our football lounge.

Have they scrapped this season?

Post by Bluebird »

I am a bit lost off here. I thought things were just frozen for a while until we get to grips with the coronavirus. Does anyone know if the season for Sunderland is cancelled or what?

The Premiership are still talking and I don't think our season is finished.
God knows what the solution will finally be.

They should have self isolated the staff and any family member within the stadiums and played behind closed doors.
Testing could be done daily with transport coaches thoroughly cleaned.
At least that way we could finish the season.
It would be a disgrace if they just write the season off!

We could all go to the game dressed like a spaceman.

Is this genuine information or just a hunch?

Just a guess. Everything will be pushed back, they'll test players and the refs, and show it on tv

I hope it's not scrapped and that we can come through this with a promotion party at the end of it.

They're top by a few points though, they'll obviously feel as though they have a right to be promoted if it's scrapped
