Sunderland believe legal action over EFL plans is likely, but rule out taking part

Chief executive Jim Rodwell says Sunderland do not want to see League One placings decided in a courtroom

Sunderland will not resort to the courts if the League One season is cut short - but chief executive Jim Rodwell believes other clubs are likely to call in their lawyers.

More like we don't agree with it and would take it further, but can't afford it.

So to save face, they'll pretend it's because we don't want to drag it through the courts..

What. A. Mess

It wouldn't be on an individual basis, more like a joint effort in court (if that is allowed).

@Gibsy I am not up to date on legal matters but I think you are correct and there could be a united front.

Most of the league won't care, that's the problem. The "I'm all right" Jack's such as Coventry and Rotherham aren't going to complain if they're given automatic promotion, and neither are the four play off teams who happen to sit in those spots

The teams in mid table wouldn't be bothered, as they weren't going to do much anyway, so that only leaves 4 teams who could realistically get into a play off place, and the same at the bottom battling to stay in it.

So the majority would vote to end the season using a ppg based points system, even though its a completely unfair thing to do.

Look at the teams who played Bolton earlier on for instance, their ppg is pushed up because of playing their kids, whilst we played the men.

It needs a challenge.

But a lot of people just want the season to end.

Should be voided, not guessing what the points total would be.

It'll make a mockery of the competition

The FA are really slow with their decision making.

Deliberate so we run out of time and have no choice but to scrap the season?
