Sunderland vs Tranmere - CUP FINAL - Team Sheet, Result and Reviews

EFL Papa John's Trophy Final | Wembley Stadium | Kick off 3pm

The team sheets:

Sunderland AFC starting XI: Burge, Power, Flanagan, O'Nien, McFadzean, Scowen, Leadbitter, Maguire, Gooch, McGeady, Wyke
SAFC substitutes: Matthews, McLaughlin, Kimpioka, Diamond, Neil, Stewart, Younger

Tranmere Rovers starting XI: Davies, Khan, Ray, Clarke, MacDonald, Spearing, Morris, Feeney, Woolery, Lewis, Lloyd
Rovers' subs: Murphy, Monthe, Ridehalgh, Blackett-Taylor, Kirby, Burton, Nugent

Is Sunderland going to break the Wembley hoodoo?
SAFC hasn't won a final at Wembley since 1973.
We've been back 8 times since then!

Lee Johnson will want to win this game for the next generation of Sunderland supporters.
Will Kyril Louis-Dreyfus enjoy success as Sunderland AFC owner at the first attempt?
We shall soon see!

What was that you said again?

People are still saying they would prefer to win the league games - what idiots!
We are in a cup final at Wembley and we want to win it surely?
I'm going to enjoy the game and will the lads on and only after this game will I start thinking about the league games!

We are totally controlling the midfield so far with the lads having all the possession.
I think they are just playing a bit cagey trying to figure each other out.

Sunderland were lucky but Budgie Burge managed to save that.
He's managed to fist a few away so far as well.
Hope his fisting technique continues to prove good

It's been a canny game so far but we are letting Tranmere have a few chances.
I still think we can win this game in the 90 minutes.
