Sunderland vs Lincoln City - Playoffs 2st Leg
Sunderland vs Lincoln City - Playoffs 2st Leg
This is it, lads and lasses.
This is either our last game of the season or we could play our last game at Wembley in London
Sunderland is 2-0 down at the moment so we need to score 3 clear goals in order to get through to the final.
For the first time this season, Sunderland has fans in the Stadium of Light - only 10,000 due to government covid rules.
Team sheets will be available at 2:30pm.

Lee Johnson has decided to go all out then!
I can only see us getting a couple of early goals and then grabbing a few more.
I think we had an off day at Lincoln a few days ago but I can't see us slipping up again.
Lincoln have had their day with us, but we will not be playing each other for a long time after today.

Re: Sunderland vs Lincoln City - Playoffs 2st Leg
Lee Johnson has not had the benefit of the 12th man at the Stadium of Light but today he has 10,000 of the noisiest fans sounding like 50,000.
Many of the Sunderland players have not played in front of the SAFC supporters.
Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and a lot of his family are there too.
I think within the first 30 minutes we will see whether we will be playing at Wembley or not.
The first goal will tell us just how this game is going to pan out.
Haway the lads

The pressure might get to some of the lads but it works both ways and the Lincoln players might suffer.

These players play football with the thought that they could play in front of 90,000 supporters at Wembley so they should be showing off in front of their own supporters.thingamajig wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 15:39 The pressure might get to some of the lads but it works both ways and the Lincoln players might suffer.
If the pressure of fans gets to them then they shouldn't be playing football.
