We had no option but to play for penalties but we were not going to beat their goalkeeper.

We brought two players on in the last minute specifically to take penalties - they both missed.
That was a tactic and it just didn't pay off.

The average age of the England team is 24 so we are a very young team. Roll on the World Cup next year.
