Are Newcastle and the FA ignoring human rights?
Are Newcastle and the FA ignoring human rights?
Newcastle looks like they are going to be taken over by a consortium from Saudi Arabia.
The FA look like they are going to let it all happen as well after this has been under investigation for a long time.
I know the Newcastle fans will be happy to get rid of Ashley but if they allow the Saudi's in then they are all guilty by association of ignoring human rights.
The treatment of women in that country is terrible so all that is being supported too.
God knows how the feminists are looking at this but all the Newcastle fans will be thinking about is getting rid of their current regime and bringing in the money.
I believe we should all be treated as an equal, therefore, supporting this takeover is wrong.
They should be looking closer to home for an investor.
The supporters think the club will be spending loads of money but the FA will be watching closely.
Even if they got the success they want, it would be on the suppression of poor women in that part of the world.
The feminists should be campaigning against all this sort of thing.
Sour grapes? NO! I am thinking about the suppression of human rights and who supports that!

All the fans care about is the players they'll be bringing in. And if any of us complain about human rights, the mags are just going to say we're jealous

Women are being oppressed in that country and not in a small way. Any acceptance of that in whatever form is totally wrong.

The argument would be that to get on here and post a message on the Sunderland Forum, you are using Chinese products and they have some of the worst oppression going. One million Muslims are in camps for stupid "offences" like abstaining from alcohol and cigarettes
Then some are locked up for owning a tent or compass or even talking to someone who has been abroad I could go on with these seemingly inoffensive "offences".

Dirty money but nobody seems to care nowadays about this or where it has come from.
