Adam Johnson is charged but can still play football

The best player without any doubt on the books of Sunderland AFC is Adam Johnson and I am a big fan of his.
However, Adam has been charged of sexual grooming and sexual activity with a 15 year old girl.
He will appear before Peterlee Magistrates on May 20th.

Originally Adam Johnson was suspended by the club but when Dick Advocaat took over a few weeks ago this was lifted and he was free to play again until he answered bail. Now that he has been charged the football club have said Adam Johnson can still play as normal.

I am in two minds whether this is the correct decision because no matter what has gone on the pressure may get to him and affect his game. Should it affect him negatively then Sunderland, who are in desperate need of points, could also suffer.
