Sunderland sign Fabio Borini on a four year deal

Post by Sandy Mackem »

Sunderland finally get their man!

After all this time who would have thought it, Fabio Borini finally signs for SAFC. He will wear the number nine shirt.

Still only 24 and loved by most Sunderland supporters, Borini leaves Liverpool for around £8milion and signs up on a 4 year contract.

This is going to be fun 8-)

Thumbs up from me. Borini could be just what we need to kick start the season for Sunderland.

I might have the day off today!

Excellent news. I do hope those who turned against him while we made the last offer last season come back on board the bus with Fabio. He will set the place on fire now.

I never gave up hope that Sunderland would sign Fabio Borini but this came as a pleasant surprise. I am looking forward to the games at the Stadium of Light all of a sudden 8-)

I never realised that West Ham came in with a late bid on Fabio Borini but I think that he would always choose Sunderland over them. This will be because of his previous loan but I am sure West Ham was going to be a hard one to brush over for him bearing in mind that West Ham have a promising future. Sunderland, however, is where his heart is.

I agree that he wouldn't have signed up for a 4 year deal if he thought that relegation was a reality so lets be happy at this news. It has to be a coup for SAFC so well done to Dick Advocaat and Ellis Short for pleasing the fans .... well most of them.

This has to be the sort of news that Sunderland supporters have dreamed of. We all know what Fabio Borini can do for us and who would ever forget his goal against the Maggie scum :D

Great, now lets see what other surprise Dick Advocaat and Ellis Short have up their sleeves today.

According to the Evening Chronicle, Sunderland could moving Steven Fletcher on to Celtic :o
Adrian Ramos could be signed from Borussia Dortmund :o
Liam Bridcutt could be moved on .... hip hip hooray :D
Will Buckley could also be moved on :o
