Sam Allardyce Confirmed As New Sunderland Manager

Sam Allardyce Is Confirmed As The New Sunderland Manager

Most Sunderland supporters will be happy at the news that Sunderland have appointed Big Sam Allardyce as the new Sunderland manager. Allardyce has signed a two year deal and has said he has taken on a challenge.

Sam Allardyce did actually play for Sunderland way back in the early eighties and has now become the manager of SAFC. According to the official club website he is the manager proper and not the head coach that has been the case recently at the club.

Allardyce says "Of course it's a challenging job. But I hope to be able to help to bring the stability and success that everyone wants,"

"I'm looking forward to working with the players and of course I will be relying on the help of the Sunderland supporters."

Sam Allardyce becomes the first person to manage both Sunderland and bitter rivals Newcastle. His first home game is to Newcastle.

You could have bet your house on Big Sam Allardyce coming to Sunderland to manage the team. Ellis Short has come up trumps again. The American owner has bent over backwards to do what the Sunderland fans want and most would agree that Big Sam was the best choice. Sam could find Sunderland a tough nut to crack but lets face it, if he cracks it here he can become a legend.

I would say that 75% of the Sunderland supporters are happy at Big Sam Allardyce appointment as the new Sunderland manager. I reckon that the rest will be wither quietly satisfied or not moved at all. New Sunderland managers are something we are used to here at Sunderland.

Will Sam Allardyce be the man to bring the stability needed at the club?
Well Sam Allardyce make a name for himself here?
Time will tell.

Our lot seem to be happy about Sam Allardyce coming to Sunderland.
They seem to think he will give the club a boost just in time for the derby against Newcastle as well.
The crowd will get behind Sam without doubt but if we win this derby coming then the Stadium of Light will be rocking again.

Calm down everyone.
Lets not go overboard.
The new manager has arrived and this was a quick appointment.
We knew Sam Allardyce would come here just give him time to settle in.
The derby is important but so is stability for SAFC.
Thumbs up to Big Sam from me.

The appointment of Sam Allardyce as manager of Sunderland has gone through rather quietly.
Is it because having a new manager here at Sunderland is not big news any more?

According to the Sunderland Echo, SAFC have the right man to do the job.
