I think appointing Sam Allardyce at Sunderland was a very good move by Ellis Short.
Should Allardyce fail here at Sunderland then clearly there is something wrong deep in the heart of the football club.
Ellis Short has appointed every possible manager that the Sunderland fans have ever wanted and some they may not have but it shows that Mr Short is trying to get some winning formula.
I think this has to be the last manager that he will sign up to the sleeping giant though.
SAFC can't keep appointing manager after manager can they?
How many is it now?
Seven in eight years?
Sam Allardyce has stated that he is still interested in becoming manager of England in the papers today.
Here's a chance to show the England board just what Sam Allardyce is made of.
Failure at Sunderland will not look good on his CV but success at SAFC now will undoubtedly be eyebrow raising.

Re: Sam Allardyce Confirmed As New Sunderland Manager
Big Sam Allardyce has been in the news today saying he can't stand Arsene Wenger!
Sunderland play Arsenal on December the 5th 2015, had this been November the 5th we could have expected fireworks. Maybe we will still see them
Sam Allardyce describes Wenger as "arrogant and a bad loser".
Who on earth would disagree with that statement.
Well dome Big Sam.

Re: Sam Allardyce Confirmed As New Sunderland Manager
Allardyce has a video posted on SAFSEE.
It shows him as the new Sunderland manager and his reasons why he came to SAFC, his tasks ahead and how he sees the club.
He would like to emulate Peter Reid's achievements here.
As we know, under Peter Reid, Sunderland finished seventh in the Premier League two seasons running.

Re: Sam Allardyce Confirmed As New Sunderland Manager
You will always get people moaning about this that and the other. I met someone yesterday who says that he thought that Sam Allardyce would be responsible for taking us down. Well, I sharp put him in his place.

That's it, Sam Allardyce is here now and he is the manager of Sunderland Football Club. Whether we like it or not we need to rally around Big Sam for the well being of SAFC.Sunderland Nut wrote:You will always get people moaning about this that and the other. Re: Sam Allardyce Confirmed As New Sunderland Manager
Sam Allardyce will not know what hit him next weekend when Newcastle come to the Stadium of Light. Big Sam is canny hyper like so the wall of sound and the emotion that will hit him when the Sunderland v Newcastle game actually arrives will get to him. He will not have experienced anything like it. I can imagine the post match interview already.

Sam Allardyce will not guarantee Jermain Defoe a place in the Sunderland starting 11
Big Sam has already stamped his authority it seems
