Sunderland Goalkeeper Problem

Simon Mignolet has gone to Liverpool and I know a lot of folk are unhappy, to say the least!

We had an ideal replacement in Keiren Westwood who, to be honest, has sat on the bench for a few years keeping very quiet. Rumours were that he was to get the number one shirt and rightly so. He played some good stuff when he was given an opportunity a few years back.

Now we have signed Vito Mannone from Arsenal for £2m and he says he intends to fight for the number one shirt ... so what does Paolo Di Canio do?

I think the new Italian lad will get the number one shirt. I think its to do with the fact that he is Italian.

Its not a big problem. Paolo has two good goalies at Sunderland now but I do think Westwood should be given the number one jersey.

Keiren Westwood is the main man it would be sh!t if he don't get the number one spot.

Its a nice headache as they say.

My choice is Westwood, a young lad who did ok before and as in any works place he should not be overlooked.

Fair play to the lad for hanging on.

Paulo hasn't spent two million quid on an Italian goalkeeper for nowt. So Westwood will go in goal make a blooper and its goodbye Kieran.
