However I will talk a little more about the club because it is building up support all the time.

While many football teams in places like Scotland are getting support in the lower hundreds, South Shields are having gates in excess of 1,000.

Don't forget that ex-Sunderland star, Julio Arca plays for South Shields

Here are the highlights of an Ebac Northern League Division Two match between South Shields and Tow Law Town at Mariners Park. This was played on November the 15th 2015 and South Shields won 9-1 in front of a record crowd for that division of 1,412.

You have to hand it to the South Shields supporters. Many of them support Sunderland fully and I suspect have their own team to encourage on as well.

The support for the South Shield football team is quite impressive.
I remember years ago looking at the Scottish football results and statistics.
You would get 250 for this game and 150 for that game.
The worst thing about all that is people relied on these teams for their football pools coupon.
Do you think a club getting a few hundred supporters will be too bothered by the result?

I have met many people from South Shields and most are Sunderland supporters with the odd ugly backward one supporting Newcastle. I don't think many up there like the Black and white thing with the Maggies. Most people like the red and white stuff.
