Patrick van Aanholt Signs New Long Term Contract
Patrick van Aanholt Signs New Long Term Contract
PVA has signed an extension to his contract which will take him up to 2020 at the Stadium of Light.
The 25 year old has been rewarded for his contribution to the Sunderland side that fought hard to remain in the Premiership.
Big Sam Allardyce says “It is fantastic to be able to secure the long-term services of such a talented footballer and athlete, who will hopefully continue to improve here for many years to come.”
The left-back has scored 5 goals in his 69 appearances for the Black Cats.
PVA must love it here to put pen to paper

Nice to see some movement.
It shows that over the summer months there will be a lot of on-going business at Sunderland

I will accept that.
I remember him scoring a goal (against who escapes me at this time) and then his celebration after lol
Brilliant, you would have thought it was an injury time winner in the cup :red_lol:

Good for him.
Sunderland will be the biggest football club he will ever play for.
The best thing is - he knows that and is willing to give 100%.

His defensive play should be now worked on and hopefully Sunderland will do this for him.
He is still a young lad with plenty of promise.
If he continues to develop then his regular place is assured.
I do like him when he is going forward
