We can have localised lockdowns and manage it better than we did when it first kicked off a few months ago because we all know what to expect.
The local communities quickly get together to shield the vulnerable instantly.
There will be spikes but we need to get this herd immunity so the virus just fades away and has no suitable host.

I wouldn't say most.

Seems like it though because before I would be driving the only car on the road.
Recently there's traffic queues again and delays so I have noticed a massive difference.

Another 3 days has passed and we see a rise of only 5.

That's only 13 in 6 days so we are doing really well here.
Gone are the days where we would have 30-40 new cases every day.

There are 1,369 recorded cases of coronavirus in the City of Sunderland.

Remember that our city has a population of around 300,000 people and includes Hetton, Houghton and Washington.

Excellent news and it does look like the lockdown has worked.

When 60-80% of us have had it it will go because it will have very few people to infect. Hence herd immunity.
