The lockdown is working but not too good.

In the past 12 days we see that there's an increase of about 500 per week instead of 1000 as we've seen for the past month or so.
Not surprising then that Wearside comes out of the lockdown and into ..... another lockdown!

Sunderland has 11,106 cases of coronavirus (19th of Nov figure 10,158)

In just over 2 weeks we see a rise of 1018 cases of Covid which is around 500 per week still.

Sunderland now has 12,124 cases of coronavirus.

I think we lost an opportunity somehow.
The virus is mutating and will continue to mutate and we will not be able to keep up.
The only hope is that the vaccine we have now is able to fend off the mutant strains.

At this time they think it will work on the mutant strains, if not we are goosed!

When does a virus not mutate? Are we going overboard with this "arghhhh, the vaccine might not work, wah dooooomed" scenarios?

No, I just don't care about a common coronavirus which kills people over the age of 83 who would die of something anyway.
Told you it's nothing many moons ago and is something that I think will live side by side with us forever now, just like the flu (the same flu that kills old people over 83 ;) )

So why haven't we had all this carry on if it's just another flu?
Destroy the economy, mess with people's mental health..???
