Sunderland Nut wrote: 06 Aug 2021, 10:19 On the 14th of May 2021, I reported that the City of Sunderland has had 22,175 cases of Coronavirus.

To date, exactly 12 weeks on, Sunderland has had 34,410 cases of Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.

That is a difference of 12,235 which means an average increase of over 1,000 a week.
Even when this thing was at its worst I don't think we had that many cases every week!
And I still don't know anyone with it or who has had it :?

They have double jabbed most of those who are at risk from it.
Young people don't really die from it, so we can open up now not being worried too much about those with a good immune system.
They reckon all this will peak soon and then there should be a dramatic fall with the virus having nobody to infect.

Every winter from now on will be a challenge because we will have various jabs to get not just the flu jab.
I never wanted to take this crap in my arm but I had a little gentle pressure at work.

I don't really want it every winter but to carry on with life it might be a case of "if you can't beat them, join them!"

It feels like we are living in a horror film though.

Yes, indeed there is - on the 6th of August 2021 we had 34,410 known cases.

Exactly 3 weeks on and the City of Sunderland has or had 36,283 cases since the start of the pandemic.

An increase of 1,873 which is over 500 a week.

This is just as bad as when we were in total lockdown so don't ask me why we have lifted all the restrictions.
