These figures would be massive had social distancing not came into being 2 weeks ago.

Or it happened much earlier, it would be even lower.
But the government wanted herd immunity.

We have to have herd immunity, we have it in everything else it's just that they thought we could do it quickly until they realised the NHS would crumble under the pressure.
Now we are getting herd immunity the slow way and that is only to protect the vulnerable and the NHS until herd immunity is complete with a vaccine.
A lot of people just wanted to do what Sweden is doing and take it on the chin but we might have had a million deaths or whatever but it would be high.

Unless we get a treatment plan or vaccine, then more people will end up dying from this horrible disease, just at a much slower rate so the NHS can cope.

Still doesn't look good.

278 that we know of.
How many of those have passed it on to others without even knowing they were ill themselves?

These figures continue to go up but what happens when someone has become immune, does that person come off the total?

How long does that immunity last?

This is going to happen again unless we can get a vaccine.

Today (Wednesday, 8th of April) there are 343 cases of Coronavirus on Wearside.

That's a rise of 65 on yesterday, pretty shocking figures considering there's a lockdown.
How's this happening :headscratch:
