Best place for mid-range tyres in Sunderland?
I need a new tyre and quick preferably by 4pm tomorrow. I never use budget tyres, just mid-range ones.
What are the best mid-range tyres and how much are they?
Tyre is 175, 64, R14.
So where's the best place to get a new one in Sunderland?
Are the garages open due to coronavirus outbreak?

Hi-Performance Auto Centre in either Roker Avenue or at the Barnes roundabout.
They are a good bunch of lads and you get better service that the common one up Hylton Road (no names there).
Garages are open for essential work so give them a try.

You will get some decent mid-range at Peacock tyres at 17 Peacock Street West (off Hylton Road opposite Pallion Health Centre).
You need to ask for them otherwise if you just ask for a new tyre they will give you the cheapest budget one.

Bit tight to get in, but they're a decent price and the lads in there seem canny.

I've never had that problem, even though I've got the sensors, you just need to use your judgement and take your time.Gambling Man wrote: ↑02 Apr 2020, 23:43Getting in isn't the problem it's reversing out, ask the wifeSteve30000 wrote: ↑02 Apr 2020, 23:35

Have you been taking it to car and bike magic straight after?

Mine are the same and I got 2 front tyres from Hi Performance down at Roker and can't fault them.
They are by Falken and they have accidental damage cover unlike the rest.
They are mid range and I think I paid about £50.00 each.
This is between 10 and 15 quid more expensive than the budget tyres but they do have a good reputation.
