They can't but we are talking about those energy companies now and have a massive say in things.
It's more complicated than finding oil and turning it into petrol and if nobody wants petrol then the oil wells shut.
Anyway, isn't petrol just a by-product or waste from the oil?

They will continue to burn the oil and damage the environment.
It's not called black gold for nothing, it's global currency in some way.

It's only recently that I've noticed what a penny on a litre of fuel could amount to on a full tank or say over a month.
The difference between petrol at 99p and £1.28 therefore is shocking :o

The majority of it is tax as well
