Pizza shops - open or shut, haway man
Pizza shops - open or shut, haway man
The curfew in Sunderland means pubs and restaurants etc shut at 10pm. I get that so not a problem. But what about pizza shops? Their shutters are half open after 10pm right up until the early hours so what are their rules? Last night I saw customers almost doing a limbo to get in them.
The pizza shops in Pallion were still open after 10pm but I didn't fancy doing a limbo under shutters elsewhere. I might be a bit confused here but my normal pizza shop is half open and half closed so I don't know the score. I drive past it now when I go home from work bugger it I will open a tin of beans instead.

Probably to fool the police into thinking that they're cleaning, and need to use the shutter entrance as easier access?

I've saw this everywhere around Sunderland.
If anyone tries to go into those pizza shops and hurts themselves on the half open shutters then just hope the shopkeeper has public liability insurance.
The council and police should ensure these places are closed at 10pm like everywhere else.
I wouldn't go in them places nowadays, not when you see the back of them.

Simple.
Customers are not allowed in the premises after 10pm, that's the curfew bit.
The kitchen can still operate and deliveries are available until the shop normally closes.
If the shop is encouraging customers to the shop in any way then they are breaking the rules and you can report them.
