Almost Complete Lockdown Imminent
Almost Complete Lockdown Imminent
When the clock strikes midnight on Wednesday, we are all going into an almost full country-wide lockdown.
This will not be as bad for the economy as the previous one because education goes on and so do other types of work.
Non-essential shops will shut so this is bound to have an effect on the supply chains.
This is as close to a full lockdown as you can get.
Sunderland was a ghost town on the last lockdown but I suspect the city to be active although not as it should be.
You still have a few days to buy what you need so do it now because the lockdown is for 4 weeks.
This applies to England because in Scotland Nicola Fishtail or whatever she is called will go against us as ever.
Wales and Northern Ireland is already in lockdown.
I am looking forward to cheaper petrol in Sunderland again

Some will be affected more than others though.

I've been buying tinned food all summer for this scenario.. And loads of sanitising products, because I know how people panic bought last time.

I can see the day when it will be advisory to have stocks for up to 12 months.

It makes sense actually because a pandemic isn't the only thing we need to be careful of. The only problem is the storage of provisions especially with a big family.Sunderland Nut wrote: ↑02 Nov 2020, 05:15 I can see the day when it will be advisory to have stocks for up to 12 months.

Theft is not a new phenomenon, just take precautions like everything else in life.

Re: Almost Complete Lockdown Imminent
Well, I am off to get in my provisions and if I empty the shelves so be it. They can call me a panic buyer or whatever but namecalling is something we left in the playground. It's up to the government and shops to ensure that we all get what we need.
