Sunderland is in Tier 4
The government have decided that Sunderland should be in Tier 4 because tier 3 wasn't enough to lower the Covid infection rate enough.
The switch to the highest tier will be from midnight 30th of December 2020 (tonight).
Food shops and takeaways can remain open and you can only leave your home for a "reasonable" excuse.
This applies to the whole City of Sunderland which obviously includes Washington, Houghton and Hetton for those people new to the area and haven't a clue about our wonderful city
So that's it chaps and chapesses, we'll meet again sometime soon I guess.

Well if I want to go for a walk for some exercise, then I will. I follow the social distancing all the time anyway.Sunderland Nut wrote: ↑30 Dec 2020, 17:01 The government have decided that Sunderland should be in Tier 4 because tier 3 wasn't enough to lower the Covid infection rate enough.

I did expect riots and looting but I was totally wrong because none of that happened and most people were good.
