It was hit and miss after 8 pm but for the last 3 days, there's been no disruption at all.

Re: Roadworks in Sunderland right now
The problem being the 50mph limit on those roads because the Northern Spire road system is terrible where once it was 70mph. The old way was far quicker but I can see a few races going on all the same. It will be pure luck if they don't get slowed down at the bridge.Sunderland Nut wrote: ↑13 Sep 2021, 04:12The boy racers will love seeing how long it will take to get from the town to the Galleries

Hmmmmm, that's got me thinking because I took it as the national speed limit applies as well and that would have been 70 but I am forgetful these daysSteve30000 wrote: ↑16 Sep 2021, 18:56That dual carriageway was always 60.. 70 would be speedingSpider wrote: ↑16 Sep 2021, 12:52

I can't recall the speed limit for Wessington Way before the bridge got built but I'd say it was 70mph because there was no reason why it shouldn't have been.

Re: Roadworks in Sunderland right now
I wouldn't like to be behind you
Correction:
Single carriageway - 60
Dual carriageway - 70
Motorway - 70
So Wessington way was 70mph, I knew we would do 70 on that road.
