Stand As An Independent Next Elections

Anyone reading the local paper, and I talk about the Sunderland Echo, will be able to see from the letters page, day in day out, that the people of Sunderland are not a happy bunch when it comes to the state of their city.

There is something that you can do about this - stand as an independent in the elections.

You know what they say about this area you could put a monkey up for elections in Sunderland and he would get in as long as he stands for Labour.

Well we have had Labour monkeys in for over 40 years and its time to get rid of them.

No, I am not saying we would be better off under Conservatives, although we wont know because they simply will not get in.

I do think however that it is time for change here and possibly the independent model is the way to go.

Standing as an independent would make the other lot fight harder to win seats and actually work for the people of Sunderland.

So, if anyone has the drive, get out there and do it. I can't because of various factors but maybe at a later date I will be in a position to do so.

Vote Independent!

I wouldn't vote for any of the tw@ts. Sunderland is absolutely finished as a city because of 50 years of Labour. The Tories would have sank us before now but either way we have been run down for years. I don't get out and vote because I don't think any of them are worth my time and effort. They hate knocking on my door because I tell them what they are.

Then you can't complain about how Sunderland is run or the state its in.

How do you know Sunderland wouldn't have been better off under Conservative?

That's not really clever. Listen to what they say and politely tell them you have listened to what they have said and wish them good day. Keep your vote private and do not tell them who you will be voting for. The only time anyone knows who you voted for is when you tell them.

I am not happy about the way the city is being run. What do the Sunderland councillors do?

Whats wrong with the way things are?

Its the Tories that have imposed one cut after another, they are not giving any money to anyone or any cause.

Sir, while I appreciate your right to have a say in things I would ask, are you serious?

There is a lot wrong with the way Sunderland is being run and it was because Labour was not managing the purse strings that got the whole country, and ultimately, Sunderland in the mess we are in.

Why not - the Labour Party does and wins often enough in the North!

Pointless voting in Sunderland or the Wearside area because the lunatics have taken over the asylum ages ago.
