Sunderland College May Lose 42 Jobs

More job loses I am afraid to say.
The college is looking to make savings.
They are also building a £29m state of the art college in the city centre which is due to open this September.
That will house up to 2,000 students and employ 120 staff.

I suspect there are 29 million reasons why they need to make some savings :weeble:

Well there's good and bad news coming from Sunderland College.
Let's hope that the city centre college is a complete success.

The city centre college can take 2,000 scholars.
It should be open long hours as well so expect the city centre to be packed with many students who otherwise wouldn't be in town.
The new college will be a good addition to the city centre.
The local businesses will certainly get a boost once it opens in September.

Any job loses is bad news but I am sure the new Sunderland city centre college will have many benefits.

What you might find is that when the Sunderland City Centre college is up and running they will be short staffed and start recruiting again.
I understand saving money on things but they are investing a lot in this building and they will want to make it function well.
