The Victoria Hall Memorial which stands in Mowbray Park, Sunderland has been vandalised.
As we know, the Memorial commemorates the lives of 183 Sunderland children that were killed in a crush caused by panic in 1883.
The Victoria Hall which stood nearby the memorial has long since been demolished but the memorial was there so we should never forget the disaster.
However, one of the glass panes that protect the actual statue has been smashed in a sick attack.
The Sunderland Echo has a write up about the incident and a video is included.

Re: Victoria Hall Memorial, Sunderland, has been vandalised
I would imagine those glass panels are made of very strong glass. So we can rule out say a drunk falling into them.
This looks like pure vandalism, no respect or nothing.
I really hope those involved are caught, named and shamed.

What was that you said again?

I hope they catch those involved. They obviously have no brain.
