Saving rates down again

Post by Crawford »

I was informed by email that my savings account now has an interest rate of 0.05%.
This works out to be 5p for every £100 savings over a year.
Bad time to have saving right now!

50p per thousand quid :o
I have a bit spare cash now and was looking to invest it but those rates are ridiculous.

Hadaway man.
I am working twice as much because of the virus and have spare cash which needs banking so obviously need to get a decent interest rate for it.
If people would just go to bloody work then I wouldn't need to work harder and I don't care too much about having savings anyway.

Yet credit card rates are going up. Not daft, are they? Anything that helps them make money on people who struggle

Don't know the score on this because I only had a credit card once just in case I wanted a credit score of some sort.
After a few years of it doing nothing they took it off me.
I just like to deal in cash anyway.

No doubt it will but that means more control over people and at the blink of an eye they could destroy anyone they like.
I am against a cashless society but I do believe they will use this coronavirus pandemic to say we need it.

Even before this virus was going about, I always used contact less anyway.

Its a lot easier, you can still keep a check on your finances, and you're less likely to lose money.
