You didn't pre-order in time.

Sony are capable of manufacturing hundreds of thousands, there's no excuse not to have any.

Either they're doing it on purpose to create demand or some greedy people are seeing an opportunity to sell them on for stupid prices.

I don't think they were intentionally wanting to sell to the Arthur Daly's of this world so maybe they can't meet the demand.

These people who buy them just to sell them straight away for 8 or 900 quid should not be allowed to do it. They don't care about owning the console or enjoy gaming.

They're just greedy, opportunistic scammers. The sites they sell on should stop them from selling them at high prices then it might stop them from doing it.

I fully agree with this!

I've got it, you want it, pay the price ....... or wait!
I've been enterprising myself on the odd occasion and had no complaints on the service I've offered.

Nah, it's not like. It's exactly the the same as people buying loads of concert tickets just to double the price and rip people off.

And there's been a heck of a lot of complaints from people who can't afford to pay their ridiculous scam prices. And even watchdogs and ombudsman's have been involved before to stop them from doing it

There's no difference to what some greedy gits are doing here

I'll laugh my 🐓 away if they're stuck with them.
Lets see how desperate they are when no one buys from them.

Why would you buy from them anyway, it's 2nd hand once they put it back on sale? Then there's the fact that you don't know if they've done anything to it.

At least from a retailer, you're guaranteed a warranty and will get your money back if something goes wrong.

Does someone online offer those assurances? Doubt it, as long as they have their Ill gotton notes in their pocket, they don't care.

Sorry, but if I had something you want, I set the price, not you or anyone else.
But you can make an offer.
That applies to any business.
Try it, I've just secured a 15% discount on carpets :P
Or try it another way, tell them that their prices are a rip off and you'll get told to go elsewhere.
It's the free-market economy.
The authorities you refer to might be able to stop businesses from doing this but not individuals.
They might on ebay but that's the authorities dictating to them and playing their game.
Individuals are different, so are tickets.
But if I had one of these PS5 machines and you wanted it, I set the price - period.
I might not be able to use a "business" to "rip you off" but you pay the price or you don't get my property.

You obviously do it yourself.
