Armed Navy boats on standby to protect UK waters in case of no deal

Armed Royal Navy boats are being prepared to patrol the UK's fishing waters in an apparent final warning shot to Brussels as negotiations enter the final 48 hours.

According to The Times, patrol powers will be beefed up with Navy officers allowed to board foreign vessels and arrest fishermen if no deal is reached.

Lets hope it doesn't come to that... Arresting fishermen is over the top

If they come into our waters then we will have to arrest them and take their boats, there is no other option really.

No need to say please because they should always respect other people's borders.
The UK's territorial waters is twice the size of the land mass which is a lot to patrol.
If the frogs want to test us then let them and we will just impound their boats each time.
