Depends what sites you buy from, and also if you pay with a credit card, you're more protected

If you lose the card then its a £100 each time the finder uses it unless there's another system in place.

I've asked the bank about this, ages ago..and they told me that if you call them , they cancel the card straight away..they also say that they monitor any unusual activity on the card and freeze the account anyway.

You don't think they've thought of this before introducing contactless payments, right at the start?

Obviously they did but the only way they would find a thief is after the theft and then would have to rely on video in shops to find them.
When the limit was £30.00, I doubt they would even bother and then the thief will go disguised or know the risks.

This sort of thing can happen anyway without contactless technology, nothing would stop any thief from using the card to order anything online.

I haven't lost too much over the years but I don't like cards anyway. I prefer cash.
