Morderna vaccines expected to arrive in April

NHS England national medical director Professor Stephen Powis said Covid-19 still has the capacity to “wreak more havoc and ill health on a significant scale”, citing concerns over new variants.

More Ill health? So no hospitalisations, or severe disease or ventilations or deaths?
Just feeling ill?

Is this what we're moving onto now? The whole point of the lockdowns and restrictions was to significantly reduce hospitalisations thereby putting a lot less pressure on the NHS.

The data we have regarding the rollout of the vaccines, is that it is massively reducing people becoming seriously ill enough to require hospital treatment , and instead people just get mild symptoms and generally feel ill.

But according to Mr powis here.....let's all stay cooped up and avoid each other because people might get Ill..... Any more excuses? Let's have a lockdown because people are not feeling Ower grand...not dying...not ending up in a hospital bed or even bloody dying....

Nah...just because people might feel ill.

Give Ower, this has got to end somewhere or we'll be doing this for life, the line has to be drawn somewhere.

Preserving the NHS is one thing but I don't think they quite got to grips with everything and they've had over a year!

It kills the over 80s and those who have severe medical conditions.
The answer was to look after them and leave the rest of us alone!
They should do it properly if the third wave comes.

Reading between the lines from what whitty said at that briefing this evening, he wants us to keep cases down regardless of vaccinations.

And their excuse? Varients...what a surprise, they even said that the vaccines could be less effective against them...

Don't know if it's just me, but I get the feeling that if he had his way we'll be doing this for life.
