UK supermarkets warn Brazil over Amazon land bill
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-56989711
Nearly 40 UK food businesses have threatened to stop sourcing products from Brazil over proposed land reforms.
The companies say they "consider the Amazon as a vital part of the earth system that's essential to the security of our planet, as well as being a critical part of a prosperous future for Brazilians and all of society."

No messing - stop trading with Brazil and stop trading with countries who do trade with them.
This should apply to all countries that are destroying the planet.

The best bet is to give the Amazon Rain Forest back to the indigenous people and give them independence so they can manage it themselves. This way very little would be cut down for money.

This is a subject that's close to my heart, just how Brazil is getting away with all this is beyond me.
Just boycott Brazil until it guarantees the protection of all remaining rain forest.

It's shocking what is happening in Brazil. They are cutting down trees like there's no tomorrow.
Most of your corned beef will be from Brazil so stop buying that for starters. They are clearing the rain forests for pasture land specifically to increase beef production etc.
No excuses, stop buying Brazillian stuff!

Surely there's a way to stop them doing this anyway? They're messing with part of the earth's eco system and this affects all of us, not just Brazil..Mawsey wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 18:10 It's shocking what is happening in Brazil. They are cutting down trees like there's no tomorrow.

We are all here temporarily and have no right to destroy the planet. As I say, Brazil is land taken from the indigenous people and even those are tribal people. Time to give it all back and divide it amongst those to who it really belongs.Steve30000 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 23:19Surely there's a way to stop them doing this anyway?
