The UK is using turkey as a plastic dumping ground

UK plastic waste is being exported to Turkey and then illegally dumped and burned, according to a report.

Greenpeace said about 40% - or 210,000 tonnes - of the UK's plastic waste exports were sent to Turkey last year.

But rather than being recycled, investigators saw some of it dumped by roads, in fields and in waterways.

We need to sort out more recycling plants, not dump our rubbish onto another country.

At one time all this sort of waste went to China for sorting but then they woke up.
We should be sorting our own mess out!

Convoys of ships.
We were getting their cheap goods while they were taking our rubbish - and money, of course.

Not sure what we are getting in return from Turkey
They will most likely take our rubbish and recycle it and make money or as it looks here just take the rubbish for money.

In the case of China, there will always be some crap coming from there.

It seems to me that the world is still turning a blind eye to all forms of waste and not just plastic.

Out of sight, out of mind comes to mind :x
