Had an appointment for my 2nd jab yesterday

Post by Steve30000 »

I turned up and they were closed...βš οΈπŸ€” What's the point of giving me an appointment then shutting the gates and not telling me about it? No text, email, call... ridiculous, communication doesn't seem to exist in the NHS.

I'll have to rebook, but I rang 119 and they said they have to wait 24hrs before they can do that... Why? Very strange system in place. What difference does the full day make to making an appointment?

They said I could check online for any walk in centres available...I checked that.. turns out they're only using Pfizer and they are only using it for first jabs only..

So to sum up, imo the NHS's right βœ‹ doesn't know what it's left βœ‹ is doing.

Well, you have done your bit, maybe they were short staffed which is the probable cause.

They could have let me know. They have my number...text even. I drive over there and they're closed..

This 2nd one had better mean the end of it.

Apparently not because there are plans for a booster very soon.

I'd say that depends on your age.

You will not be far wrong because they will not be able to wipe it out so it will keep coming back like flu.

The boosters will be for the vulnerable, the rest of us will have a fair amount of antibodies through natural infection or a vaccine.
