Very interesting but not exactly unexpected although 2025 does seem a bit early.
Has anyone on here still got a landline?
I have a BT socket in about 4 or 5 rooms here but the last time I had a landline must have been about 10 years ago or so.

In the short term but haven't they got much better with 5G?
6G will be around the corner and even 5G will become useless in comparison because what the new technology will be capable of is unreal, I've heard some amazing things that this will bring to the table.

This will be seen to be primitive as well in about 20 years time.
I might have the day off today!

Technology will always be getting better, even 20 years after that as well.
Will we still be around by then though? With the way we're destroying this planet I'll be surprised if we get to that stage without the weather stopping us.

We in the rich countries are destroying the planet through consumerism and waste but imagine if everyone in the world had the sort of life we had.

This is something I hadn't gave much thought to but having a wire into your home to connect to the internet or making a phone call does seem a little silly nowadays

Have you got wires leading to the bolts on your neck still

I've lived in my current home for 5 years but only got mobile reception a month ago...plenty of places local that are still without mobile reception.
