Re: Stephen Lewis RIP
Blakey was a unique character but I always thought he looked a bit like Hitler

I tell you what, On the Busses was a great show. I have saw the repeats recently and they are still humourous to this day. All the characters were unique and Blakey was just one of them.

Re: Stephen Lewis RIP
Well what can I say about the passing away of Stephen Lewis?
This bloke played a big part in television humour. Another great character which we have a lack of in Britain today. On The Buses was always a "must watch" .... and still is if you have all them channels and search them well

Re: Stephen Lewis RIP
To be fair he had lead a long life and was very successful in his acting career. Another icon passes away. A sad loss.

Re: Stephen Lewis RIP
The only characters I have seen Stephen Lewis play are those where you feel sorry for him
I am not moaning as I thought what he did was great.

Re: Stephen Lewis RIP
Sad news.
"I hate you Butler"
"You're sacked, Butler"
Stephen Lewis' name in the show "On The Buses" was Cyril Blake and as you know it was shortened to just "Blakey".
