Vauxhall Zafira - Safety Recall After Some Burst Into Flames

Vauxhall Zafira - Safety Recall After Some Burst Into Flames
Anyone with a Vauxhall Zafira should start to think about contacting their dealer after many of these cars seem to spontaneously explode. The company is considering the position and has said it will investigate the problems as a matter of urgency. If Vauxhall does not get in touch with you, then try contacting them. Make sure your car is registered as this is how they will know you have a Zafira. Free checks will be made available so there is no cost to you.
Drivers of more than 130 Zafiras made between 2005 and 2014 have reported problems. The dashboard appears to heat up which seems to stem from behind the glovebox.
Some mothers have reported that their Zafira car has caught fire with their children inside.
If you are experiencing any problems with any form of overheating or any unusual noises with your Vauxhall Zafira then contact your Vauxhall dealership - now!
There is a facebook page to check out too: https://www.facebook.com/groups/4249165 ... 2/?fref=ts

I know a few families with Vauxhall Zafiras
I better point them in the right direction.

Oooh that's pretty worrying.
Imagine going down a motorway with a car full of kids when they spontaneously combust
I think all Vauxhall Zafiras are seven seaters as well!

Re: Vauxhall Zafira - Safety Recall After Some Burst Into Flames
If you have ever seen the back of a Zafira then with this news there is a lot of danger out there.
The back two seats have no door and rely on the seats in front to fold forward or get out the back way which is very awkward.
In the event of any suspicion of smoke in any car the advice would be to get out bloody quick and get it investigated.
To me, the Vauxhall Zafira is worse than the majority of people carriers.

Not looking good for those with a Vauxhall Zafira then. I reckon there will be some worried mothers and fathers out there.

I like the Vauxhall Zafira.
It may look small but it does have seven seats.
Shame it is taking some stick because of these issues.

I might have the day off today!
Re: Vauxhall Zafira - Safety Recall After Some Burst Into Flames
I had a 04 Vauxhall Zafira a few years ago. I liked it but I have a small hatchback now. 130 cars bursting into flames seems quite high to me. I hope they sort it because kids love the back seats and it would be frightening to think a fire would start in a car with kids in those awkward seats.
..... and Sunderland, the underdogs, are in the lead!
