Great Britain and the Olympic Games 2016
Great Britain and the Olympic Games 2016
Is anyone else watching the Olympic Games?
I have been following them from the start and turning into a right old couch potato
Great Britain are doing really well and we won five more golds today
Andy Murray won the tennis as well.
I think there are more golds to come for the British even though we are on 15 right now and are second in the medal table
We are looking good and such a shame we couldn't have turned all those silvers into a gold.
I hope the kids are all watching as it will inspire a lot of them to get into sports.

Aye the games have been really good especially with our medals haul.
I even stayed up last night for the 100 metres final and saw the Jamaican, Usain Bolt do the business again.

I might have the day off today!

Re: Great Britain and the Olympic Games 2016
I am off work for a few weeks and with the amount of medals that Great Britain are winning, this has been a pleasure so far.
To see team GB second in the table after one week is tremendous.
That will change, no doubt, but lets enjoy the moment

Can team GB stay ahead of China in the medals table?
Apparently since China started to compete in 1984, Great Britain have never finished higher than them in the table

I might as well gan home, then!

Great Britain got their first ever medal in the hammer throw last night, well done to the lass who got it, Sophie Hitchon.
It was a bronze medal but a very good effort.

The Rio Olympics really has been good for Great Britain.
Exciting stuff - keep them medals coming lads and lasses.

Keirin final on the cycling track - wow what a race!
Two false starts where the judges couldn't decide on a disqualification because the camera was not directly on the line where the derny bike came off.
Jason Kenny got the gold medal in the end.
The racers needed to block him out but they didn't manage it especially when Kenny knew what their tactics were.
When it looked like Kenny was out with a lap to go he put on the style and motored through into the lead on the final straight.
What a race!
What a sprint!
Best in the Rio Olympics yet by far.
That's the 6th gold medal for Kenny while his partner, Laura Trott, got four.
Another gold medal for team GB.

Jason Kenny and Laura Trott are the most successful couple that has ever been in the Olympic games.
That last race was a bit special like.
