======================

Jay Rodriguez came off the bench to score the late equaliser for Southampton in the 85th minute after Defoe put Sunderland in the lead from the penalty spot in the 80th minute.
Neither side has won in the Premier League this season.

The Black Cats were denied a win at Southampton yet again through a late goal from The Saints.

One point is all the lads could get but a draw at Southampton was a fair result and now we are off the mark.
Onwards and upwards :red-white:

A point is a point and this is a start.
I am only getting worried about the lack of quality signings at Sunderland.

Same old, same old.
But, I would have taken a point before the game so I am ok with this result.
Until Sunderland got to grips with Southampton I thought this match would be a walkover for them.
Moyes will still be assessing things so give the bloke some time.

We always start off slow.
I just hope that by Christmas we are in mid-table.
The Southampton result was decent to be fair.
I thought Jordan Pickford did ok for us.

I might have the day off today!
