Oddies pub in Hylton Road - firebombed

Post by Gambling Man »

Oddies pub, at the bottom of Hylton Road, near Sunderland city centre has been the subject to a fire bomb attack.
A bottle containing flammable liquid was thrown into the pub in the early hours.
Passers by raised the alarm and the pub manager, Natalie Connify wishes to thank those that helped.
Nobody was injured in the attack and the residents in the flats above got out safely.
Police are looking into the incident and obviously are asking for anyone with any information to contact them.

Shocking story!
To think that there were people living upstairs as well.
We might have seen a disaster here if it hadn't been for the eagle-eyed passers by so well done them.

I might have the day off today!

Just passed the place and it's still open. I think the police will wrap this up soon. It may be someone who was previously barred.
To start a fire knowing someone could be hurt is pretty bad like.

I am surprised there has been no arrests so far as the police are usually s*** hot when this sort of thing happens.

What was that you said again?
