Sunderland Illuminations 2017

Sunderland Illuminations 2017

The Sunderland lights are well under way.
Starting at St Peters Church then all the way along the sea front at Roker and Seaburn.

There are plenty of things to do for the kids with fairground rides, a big observation wheel, an illuminated road train and many food kiosks.
Obviously Roker Park is well lit up too.

The Sunderland illuminations run right up to Sunday November the 5th 2017 from around 5pm to 10pm every day.
Roker Park has a Festival of Light every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and every night during half-term.
Tickets for Roker park are £1.00 and free for kids under 2 years old.

I was down over the weekend and everyone had a good couple of days.

The lights brighten up the lives of many people.
I drive past Roker Park daily and there's loads get down there.

Loads down the sea front on Wednesday night which is unusual but I think someone mentioned it was kids holidays.

Roker and Seaburn are always busier after the footy as well with or without the lights on.

That's true and I see them walking on the sea front with their scarves on eating fish and chips in all weathers.

I might have the day off today!

Roker Park was a bit better than last year I must admit.
