Premier Concourse closing next season

Post by Bluebird »

Sunderland AFC have decided to close the Premier Concourse for next season 2018/19.
The club said that due to falling numbers attending the games, they have no option.
This will also create a better atmosphere at the Stadium of Light while lowering their costs.
However, if the demand rises, they may reopen the stand.

This shouldn't come as a surprise really.

It makes business sense but the sad bit is that it reflects the position of the club

I don't know if there could be an fa rule yo contradict this but, would it not be better and more financially viable to say offer a family 4 for £10.00. Bore attending and more in attendance... Win win.

This has got to be a better solution. If Sunderland AFC think that charging inflated admittance prices will bring in the supporters, they should think again. If they are closing the concourse for the reason of making a better atmosphere, this certainly seems a better solution.

They should lower the price now.

Yes, let's not wait to see if we survive.
As a good gesture Sunderland AFC should put the admittance price down.
I fully agree with this.
