Sunderland AFC Ladies/Women Lost League Status
This is pretty alarming, Sunderland AFC Ladies will no longer be playing in the league next season.
This is despite finishing 4th bottom of their top flight league.
They were not relegated to their Championship, they lost their licence to play football in the league.

Maybe the new owners will prepare something for the future. This to me is all about money and the way Ellis Short treat the club towards the end of his tenure. Sunderland Ladies produced some fine players who went on to great things. I reckon there will be some who move on now so it will be a massive rebuilding job for the women's team if we are to get back into these leagues.

The Sunderland Echo are reporting that this whole issue is to be raised in parliament.
Easington MP Grahame Morris is campaigning to get this decision overturned. Good on ya Mr Morris, we are all on your side
